Always remember to save your work as you are creating.
If working on something with a lot of detail, add a new layer for each item otherwise you may lose your work if you keep deleting objects and re-adding them. This will save you a lot of frustration.
If you are working with full size kits and want to reduce them down for tag making, it's easier to reduce them by percentage rather than by pixels and changing your Resample setting to Smart Size also helps.
For example a paper sized 3600 x 3600 is very large to handle in PSP and if you have several up at a time, can make your PSP programme extremely slow. If you reduce it by 20% the new size will be 720 x 720 pixels with no distortion and helps your PSP programme work better.
Always save your files in PNG format so both Photoshop and PSP users can use them. Saving them as PSP image files means only PSP users can use them.
You can also save files in PSD format by changing your file preferences. Just click on the File tab and scroll down to File Preferences and change the settings there. This means that when you receive a PSD file, you'll be able to open it in your PSP programme.
TAGGER SIZES
Tagger sizes can range from anything between 300 x 300 to 800 x 800 depending how big you want it but as you can see is on a much smaller scale than full sized kits and are mostly set to 72DPI.
Recently I was asked how big a tagger size element or tube would be when printed. I decided to give it a try as I had never printed off anything in tagger size before. I found that if I kept the DPI at 200 or 300 and changed the printer page properties to fill the page, an image as small as 500 x 500 will actually fill the page with great results, no loss of quality or any distortion or loss of colour. I was quite surprised.
